Company History
Southern Coker Power is a full service, certified solar Integrator dedicated to providing the very best in engineering, designing, installation, and servicing of C&I solar arrays, battery storage systems, EV charging station equipment, and backup generators. SoCo Power opened over 10 years ago and was founded by Cody Coker, Owner and Operator. Mr. Coker brings 10-plus years of direct solar power experience, and holds a reputation for success in the solar industry. A native of South Carolina, Cody established the company with the goal of improving the solar experience for clients through professionalism, education, and trust.
Operations / Staff
SoCo Power has made monumental growth since launching and continues to expand in operation. Our knowledgeable team consists of over 20 NABCEP Certified employees that are trained quarterly to maintain the most up-to-date industry standards. Our quarterly training allows our staff to maintain a strong understanding of new products and technology that continually advances in the solar industry. Our processes include CAD design, permitting, scheduling, structural engineering, and electrical engineering. Our in-house team includes service technicians and installers to ensure consistent and reliable quality during the entire installation process. Our Foreman and Site Controllers also have extensive years of solar experience and are NABCEP certified.
Location
Our company is Headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina. We have expanded locations in both Charleston, South Carolina (our Satellite office) and Westminster, South Carolina (our Warehouse location).

Service Division
When SoCo Power began, we worked on mostly residential solar projects. Our reputation quickly grew as we were able to manage the entire lifecycle in-house – from designing and permitting to the final install. This capability allowed us to expand our work into the Commercial and Agricultural sectors. Currently SoCo Power works mostly on Commercial and Agricultural jobs although our team does still offer Residential and service-related systems. We are currently targeting over 45 mW of commercial installation prior to 2021 close. SoCo Power is designed to service large accounts throughout the SouthEast United States. SoCo Power has developed an entire dedicated division of the company that focuses solely on service work. This division consists of utility-scale development and maintenance including full EPC O&M.
Roofing Division
SoCo Power’s roofing division is growing exponentially. Currently, our team installs an average of 1-2 residential solar roofs per week. This Division became an apparent need with the growth of uninstall/reinstall solar system projects. SoCo Power is also working on opening an energy-efficient division to offer spray foam insulation and energy-efficient options to homeowners.
